Crimson Desert: Install mods on PC
Updated · Patch history
Start with the selected mod page
Nexus authors and esports.gg describe a mod-specific workflow: open the description, read its requirements and installation section, then use Files and Main Files to select the right archive. The mod page decides whether it needs a manager, a loader or a manual copy. Back up the save separately; the save-file locations are not mod-install folders.
Example: JSON Mod Manager
The author of JSON Mod Manager says to extract its archive, open mod_manager.exe and let it detect the Steam installation, or select that installation with Browse. Its own mods folder holds JSON files. Move a selected entry to the active list and use APPLY. UNINSTALL removes the managed overlay; RESTORE uses the backup of the original 0.papgt. These controls belong to this tool and do not describe every mod format.
The community modding guide contains several archived workflows, so use the current instructions attached to the mod and manager you choose. A guide written for a launch patch does not establish compatibility with Enhanced 2.04. Console availability is covered on the PS5 and Xbox mods page.
