Crimson Desert: First hours

Game8's beginner list is the spine of this page. Upgrade equipment first, because copper and iron are common. Put early points into Health and Stamina. Use Blinding Flash or a lantern when you are hunting small pickups. Contribution points, earned from regional jobs and from not committing crimes, buy useful gear before rare drops do.

Ring the bell towers to clear map fog. There are eight of them; the locations page lists the ones Rock Paper Shotgun described in full. Take a pet if you want help looting. Cook before a fight, keep a supply chest, and read the notices instead of ignoring them. Sell junk rather than letting the bag stall you.

The same guide says not to get jailed early. A wanted level can be cleared by serving time, which also cuts contribution experience, or by buying a Writ of Absolution. The bounty page has the stages. I am not assigning point-by-point builds here; the builds page names the weapon kits without inventing damage numbers.
